Roses are Red, Sugar is Sweet.

rose

They say roses are red,

they say violets are blue.

But something tells me they just don’t know the truth.

The truth about the life that we abuse,

the truth about the life that we choose.

We are institutionally educated to an extent that we become

uneducated.

They say sugar is sweet,

but it makes you obese.

A disease.

Fatty reserves of sweet words, makes you blind

to the universe.

As your perception is nothing,

but a perception of your own perception.

OFFICE DESK ][ Spoken Words (Written Version)

A sunset and the silhouettes of palm trees. Th...

OFFICE DESK

Sitting here, at the office desk longing to be free, starring at the map and over analysing what I’d like to see, where I’d like to be.

Running down past palm trees, the sun kissing me as my hands caress the sand trickling back to the beach, as it longs to be absorbed back into the earth.

How I long to be absorbed back into the earth, to be a part of its majestic beauty, free to roam in the wind.

Sinless, the devils whispers no longer influence me. I no longer have an ear, as I no longer need to hear the words that try to influence me, as I am free.

I’m deaf, so the people won’t lie to me, I’m blind but can still see the freedom of a beautiful destiny.

Where the heats not to hot, and the breeze not to cold, where I can grow old…..within the depths of a dessert so wise so humble.

Awakening to a rumble of papers, and telephone calls. Still sat at the desk a mental trap created for you and me, whilst the rich and the ‘go getters’ grasp our destiny.

A destiny to be free, to roam the earth that was created for you and me.

But we are stuck in a concrete wall, so the vision of palm trees can’t be seen.

Forced instead to a desk, and told that this will help us make a nice comfortable bed.

Instead, we are just stuck in a cycle, whilst our destinies spiral.

I guess God only helps those who help themselves.

So unless we grasp what we want, what we need, what truly makes us happy.

We will be stuck at an office desk still longing to be free, starring at the map and over analysing what we’d like to see and where we’d like to be.

Dear Muslim World,

Age of the Caliphs Expansion under the Prophet...

Dear Muslim World,

We complain about the state of the Muslim world, the condition it is in. Seeking out and wondering where is the help of Allah (SWT)?

But have we proceeded to satisfy his commands?

“And let there be [arising] from you a nation inviting to [all that is] good, enjoining what is right and forbidding what is wrong and those will be the successful” [Quran. 3:104]

“And do not be like the ones who became divided and differed after clear proofs had come to them. And those will have a great punishment” [Quran, 3:105]

We are  a nation that is divided not just into sects, but also into other nations and nationalities. Some invest a greater emphasis on being patriotic about a region, about a land, are not all lands the land of Allah (SWT), do its inhabitants not deserve our equal attention or equal protection?

The Pakistani among us may disagree arguing that Pakistan is the land blessed by God, its Army the best in the world, no matter how evident the contrary maybe. Moreover, a measure of  Arabs hold an almost inherent perception that there is no doubt that Arab genealogy surpasses any other in superiority. The fact that Prophet Muhammed (PBUH) distinctively expressed that an Arab is not superior to a non-Arab, or a non-Arab superior to an Arab, has no relevance to dare i say an innumerable amount of Arabs.

As revealed in the verses of the glorious Qur’an, God told us to let there rise from us a nation inviting to good, we are neither inviting to good nor are we forbidding evil, so how do we seek to be the successful ones? We would rather indulge in discourse on why Iran supports a so and so country because it holds a Shi’ite majority than discuss the crimes of Bashar Al-Assad against the believers.

The answers to our success are in plain visible site, yet we have chosen to close our hearts to the words of our maker, for the Muslim world to be successful we must :

1. Invite to Good

2. Enjoin in what is right

3.  Forbid the wrong

4. And not be divided

Baring in mind that once we aspire and build for the Akhira our Duniya falls into place, this is evident from the history of the believers.

God said he will not change the condition of a nation until they begin to change themselves, so as an Ummah we must first fulfill the commands of our lord, in hope that we will be aided. The fact that the word used init self is nation and not individual may bare a greater meaning, one that we must all work together to be successful. So put down your flags, bury your sectarianism and revert to the way of your Lord, a nation, one nation, Pakistani’s, Indian’s, Iraqi’s, Arabs and Indonesians etc all stood firm in inviting to good and forbidding the evil.

Yours Sincerely,

Your Brother

P.S. There you have it, four steps to a more successful Ummah. It’s as simple as that. What are you waiting for?

A Suicidal Thought || #Suicidal Poetry 01

Dangerous Risk Adrenaline Suicide by Fear of F...

A suicidal thought consumed the mind, even though inspiration from the divine flourished. I was still malnourished.

Saddened by events that had past, but still  upon my memory they stood clear as water, reflecting into my present.

I was not suicidal yet so close i was to jump.

Its not about attention, if it’s attention i crave then i wouldn’t be sat in a room all alone with a blade to the Skin.

Trying to pierce each sin.

To let it drop from my veins and splash against the warmth on my skin, to embrace the coolness of the metal that cleanses my body and cleanses my sin.

Its not about Bravery, because honestly it takes a lot out of me to tell you that i’d rather not be.

Be alive and strive for a world that i can’t class as mine.

Feeling close to the divine, but it feels like he’s left this world of mine.

Suicide is not an option, because I know its just for a limited time, this test of mine.
